 Philosophy
WoonHung loves creating beautiful things that you can behold in the palm of your hands. There's a strong sense of purpose in her design, which
permeates through in exquisite detail, good color sense and intricate workmanship.
She's progressive: always moving, learning, developing. Everything evolves, she has learned to move with that flow.
Why WoonHung?
Her grandfather gave her the name WoonHung, describing his 1st impression when she was born. He thought WoonHung looked like a boy & gave her a name meaning a "(woman's) femininity" & "(man's) strength", hoping that she would grow up finding a balance between the 2.
| Profile
WoonHung is both soft & strong. An underlying strength interwoven with femininity.
This is her grandfather's aspiration. A name he gave, describing the way she was born & his impression when he first set eyes upon her. Yes, it is a guy's name. It was kept because of a strong affinity towards her grandfather's hopes, & a deep belief in moving designs forward. Dreaming of a composition both soft & strong.
This little fascination started when she was in Art School. Jewellery-making was then a hobby. Upon graduation, she entered the world of visual merchandising, progressing from window dressing to conducting training seminars & store design on a regional scale.
Traveling does wonders. Its therapeutic. It rejuvenates, opens the mind & elevates the soul. It brought WoonHung to a different platform, as she begins to design all over again. And it is here she rediscovered jewellery design. A sense of true self unfolded. And so, it is here that another journey begins. An untravelled journey towards handcrafted design.
